Lions Charity Challenge Sunday 13 May 2018
This year’s Charity Challenge event will take place on Sunday 13 May 2018 organised by the Lions Clubs of Holme Valley and Huddersfield and all routes are at, or from, Beaumont Park, Huddersfield
Events will include:
A 6-8 mile accompanied walk, led by Lions members
A 3 mile walk through the paths and woodlands of Beaumont Park
The 1 mile Pushchair and Wheelchair route, suitable for young and older alike, takes you round the park itself. Finding the cartoon characters along the walk is a fun part of the day.
The Friends of Beaumont Park have offered us lots of support. Check in is at the Café, where hot and cold drinks, bacon sandwiches and snacks will be on sale.
The aim is to help charities large and small and good causes to raise money through sponsorship which is why we are eager for groups like Junior Sports Clubs, Cubs, Guides, Brownies, Scouts, Community Groups and schools to sign up.
This is the 29th Lions Charity Challenge and over the years the event has helped to raise over £750,000 for a massive range of charities and good causes.
