Lions Charity Challenge Sunday May 14th May

You can download a copy for the flyer here Charity Challenge Flyer

This year’s Charity Challenge event is to be organised on Sunday 14 May 2017 by the Lions Clubs of Holmfirth & Meltham and Huddersfield and all routes are at or from Beaumont Park.

Events will be the 12-mile accompanied walk, led by Susan Doran from the Kirklees Countryside Volunteers, a 3 mile walk in the park and the Pushchair and Wheelchair route, suitable for young and older alike also round the park itself. The Friends of Beaumont Park have offered us lots of support and we will check everyone in from inside the Café. They will be putting on hot and cold drinks, bacon sandwiches and snacks.

This year the aim is to help smaller charities and good causes which is why we are eager for groups like junior sports clubs, cubs, guides, brownies, scouts, community groups and schools to sign up.

This is the 28th Lions Charity Challenge and over the years the event has raised £750,000 for a massive range of charities and good causes.

To enter simply download the  LCC Entry Form 2017 form from the this website and email it to info@huddersfieldlions.org or print and complete form and return to the address on the form . You can also enter at Eventbrite

We look forward to seeing you and your supporters on the 14th May

All the organisation is done by Lions clubs of Huddersfield and Holmfirth and Meltham

Over the winter, the hard-working people involved in putting on the Charity Challenge took to the fields and lanes around Huddersfield to test out the new routes for the walkers.

Now they want many, many more to join them on a May weekend, so how about it?

Will you sign up to accept the Challenge and help so many others?

The part of The Challenge which caters for toddlers, disabled people and for yougsters in pushcairs is being organised and run by the Lions club of Holmfirth and Meltham.

Once again we are using Beaumont Park, which can be tackled by toddlers, disabled people and for people with young children in pushchairs.

The location at Beaumont Park provides a good opportunity for these people to enter the challenge and raise money for their chosen charity and it is near to the main venue.

This year we have again the cartoon character treasure hunt as part of the walk which will give the children extra interest during the walk For more information please follow the link to Lions Club of Holmfirth and Meltham

In all these activities, Holmfirth and Meltham Lions Clubs actively support us. Anyone wishing to be in involved in this event should ring Bob Armitage on 01484 665990 or 07802 900653 or email: info@huddersfieldlions.org
